What the tenant had to say:
When we first saw the place and put in an application, we were dealt with by an agent named Rose. The place was a bit old and she was conscious of this, promising to clean the carpets and change the shower doors. We agreed and moved in. A week later, we got a call saying that the shower doors could not be changed. Ok..not a big deal! we also pay for a car park which cannot fit a car and didn't have any wardrobes at all! Months and months went by and we had a 1 year lease so we set up our direct debit from our bank for a year. When the lease finished we continued on a weekly basis. Unfortunately at the exact week that our direct debit ended, we were off on a 1 year anniversary break overseas which meant that our rent didn't go through! I had my Global Roaming turned on..but no calls? Just emails..from a very very rude Daniel Moddel. It was the first time I had ever heard the name and apparently he was the property manager from the start? Great start here, a year and a week later...and rude rude emails to my partner and I. Threats of eviction...just rude threats. Our rent was paid perfectly, on time, direct debited..every week prior to that! We even had emergency contacts listed but he only emailed us! Which of course was useless as were overseas and had no access to email. When we got back, we explained what happened and transferred the rent immediately. This week (a year and a half since we moved in here) we are moving out. We provided 3 weeks notice and called the Property Manager Daniel to find out exactly what we needed to do out of courtesy. A day before the Easter weekend, which is an important family and religious day..Daniel calls to see if he could bring people into the house on Saturday..Easter Weekend. I advised Daniel from dream land that it was Easter Weekend, the last long weekend...with my family here... I offered to show people the place next week if he provided me with enough notice. On Thursday the week after..while I have boxes all over my house. They call my partner to arrange an inspection. Rose called this time and agreed to show the place on Tuesday after we advised her that we were moving. Yes....everyone who has ever moved knows what that means! Rose was nice enough and human enough to say Tuesday was ok. Until..Daniel called and started with his threats again. Absolutely rude..asked me why we hadn't moved stuff out already? (Well Daniel, like every other Australian, we have a job and a life) Daniel threatened to charge us for 12 more days if we did not let people see the house tomorrow. I explained that if he could wait 3 more days, all our stuff would be moved, the apartment would have been cleaned professionally etc. so it is in his best interest Daniel again threatened me... I don\'t understand why people like this take on properties or roles they simply don\'t give a shit about. Really sad that it takes 1 person to bring a company down.
