They don't know what it means, they just want there 8% for collecting your money, holding it and then depositing it when they feel like it!

What the tenant had to say:
We rented out our property through them in Wahroonga for a year and would never use them again. They were never in the office when you called and if you left a message you would never get a call back. The lady looking after us left, and they didn't contact us to tell us that she had gone, so emails went unanswered for weeks. Our tenants had asked for a few things to be fixed that were minor, and they never told us about them so the tenants were annoyed that we hadn't got the repairs done, repairs that we were never told about. We ended up telling the tenants to call us direct.

What the tenant had to say:
My brother and I were leasing a 2bdr unit @ $330 p/w since May 2007 and must say that the Property Managers at Keith Soames are some of the most negligible and disrespectful agents in the business. After repeated requests (for about 3 years) by my brother any myself to have essential items repaired or replaced (eg hot water, electricity, locks on garage doors, etc) we ended up being severely frustrated and felt as though they really didn't care about us. However, they have now completed their final inspection and seem its necessary to try and recover almost all of the bond to cover "Professional Cleaning" for items such as "Cobwebs on balcony" - seriously who do they think they are????. Now my brother and I will be pursuing this Agent via the Tribunal for the full amount of the bond because in all fairness we left the property in a better state then it was originally leased and not one of my written or verbal requests for assistance was answered when we attempted to previously notify them of issues with the property. I would like to think I'm a fair person, but I would warn any potential investor or leasee that Keith Soames Real Estate is not worth your time, effort or money because in all honesty, as an owner you would have no idea how your property was managed and as a leasee - well even if you run out of hot water or are having to sit in the dark don't expect these guys to help you.
